Summary: We had a family reunion and chose this rental as homebase. Our main goal was to spend time together in a centrally located place, but we wanted to be near something like a national park, so we did visit Mammoth twice and enjoyed it.We also enjoyed renting ATVs nearby and had the time of our lives.Several of us popped into Leitchfield for this and that and found some wonderful food. One person needed a car repair and it went smoothly and at a great price. In summary, Leitchfield is a great little town.We did not explore the lake access, but it looks like a pretty body of water. As far as the rental goes, it was absolutely perfect. Spacious, brightly lit (lots of windows), comfortably appointed, immaculately, clean, and relaxing. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and generally found what we needed to get the job done.Plenty of plates and cups and things like that for a large crowd. Dishwasher worked well. The beds were comfortable. It’s a little bit chilly in the rental, so bring proper pajamas if you like to be cozy at night. We had a few questions along the way, and the host was helpful and patient with us.To wrap things up, this is a beautiful rental in a gorgeous area. A town next-door that has pretty much anything you might need and a friendly vibe. Plenty of outdoor adventure nearby. Don’t hesitate to visit Leitchfield and stay at this gorgeous lake home!

Summary: When we booked our stay, there were not pictures of the lake view so it was a pleasant surprise to have such beautiful views from the house. We also loved the remote location. It's a beautiful area, about 45 minutes to Mammoth Cave National park, our main destination. Our mini-vans did fine with the steep driveway and rocky roads. While the house and views were quite nice, I wouldn't stay again unless something is done about the beds. The two full/queen mattresses upstairs have bedframes that are so squeeky they kept us awake at night. My husband was able to tighten them a tiny bit which helped but still prevented us from having good sleep. The beds were also uncomfortable. The house layout and design was perfect for our group of 12- 6 adults and 6 kids. I hope they upgrade the beds and some things around the house so that it truly feels as nice as it appears initially.

Summary: Only negative was the parking down a very steep incline and had to either back up put or go down a very steep gravel incline But the house was amazing and location gorgeous

Summary: Nice place for a few families to meet up together. Pro is water access -- so nice to swim everyday, however, senior citizens can't make it down to the water due to the nature of the path. The home is sort of secluded -- not much to do unless you'd like to drive over half an hour. It wasn't an issue for us since we intended to stay put for the week. We did have to buy extra paper towels, laundry soap, and toilet paper. Very nice hot tub. Lots of space, being 3 stories!

Summary: Our family loved our stay at this home. The home was beautiful. We had plenty of space for our family. The walk to the water was pretty easy. The kids loved the air hockey and Pac-Man in the basement! Hot tub was a great addition! Would definitely recommend!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property. It was perfect for the 11 of us, six adults and five children. The kids loved the bunk bedroom and the game room which gave the adults plenty of space to enjoy our time together on a beautiful deck that overlooks The lake. The Blackstone was perfect which allowed us to cook dinners and breakfast! There were very few restaurants nearby so I'd highly suggest you bring as much food in as you can and be prepared to cook which we did and it was actually perfect. There's one restaurant that I would recommend and that's the redneck in Clarkson. They were very accommodating for the 11 of us and food was All homemade and very good and extremely reasonable! The drive in just take your time you do get use to it! You won't be disappointed staying here!

Summary: The house was beautiful, everything we needed was supplied. Master bed mattress was newer and very comfortable. The other beds could use an update. The beds were metal and wobbled. Just did not feel comfortable.

Summary: Beautiful property nestled in the hills of Kentucky. We rented for our family vacation (7 adults, 8 kids). Home was as described and communication was great! We enjoyed our time together as a family and spent some time visiting Kentucky Down Under for the cave and kangaroos, which we learned about through this rental. Parking was a bit harrowing at times. Given the location, I'm not sure how that could be improved but better visibility turning into the driveway may help future guests navigate it. I would definitely recommend having curtains or blinds on all the windows instead of just some, especially in the bedrooms. A bathroom emergency became a trickier situation when family enjoying the patios outside could easily, though unintentionally, see directly through the master bedroom and into the master bathroom. Quick thinking kept everyone's privacy intact but curtains or blinds would prevent any issues from the start. Overall we enjoyed our stay and our time together as a family.

Summary: We had a great time. The listing is very accurate to how the house looks and what is provided. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the house, the kids loved the air hockey and Pac-Man and watching movies as well as their bunk beds. Another review was very accurate to explain the lake access, it is a gravel path (host shared with us the same thing) but the down side is the path just ends to some slightly wooded area that goes into the water. No real space to put down chairs or a blanket but you can get in the lake there, just not what I would have considered public access. The house had lots of natural light and I’m sure some people would prefer darker or more curtain options to sleep later. No issues with driving our van to get to the house but it is a single lane gravel road and following the host’s directions was helpful. Host was incredibly responsive and addressed quickly anything that came up. I enjoyed the blackstone grill and the hot tub was working great. Overall a really great stay.
